Installation Instructions for Vinyl Decals Important Information : Please read these instructions all way through before starting. You
will need paper towels, squeegee, big needle and window cleaner.
Measuring tape and masking tape are recommended but not required. -
Surface temperature should be above 50 degrees F. and below 90 degrees
F. If necessary move vehicle to a location where the temperature can be
within the installation guide lines. These decals come to you in three layers. The top layer is called transfer tape. It looks somewhat like regular masking tape. The middle layer is the actual decal. The bottom layer is a backing paper treated with a release agent. Application using the Dry Transfer Method: Step 1 Clean Window ( or other surface ) thoroughly. Be sure to turn the cloth several times to insure thorough cleaning and wax removal Step 2 Place graphic on desired surface and tape to the surface with masking tape across the top, creating a hinge. Step 3 Flip graphic up and pull paper backing off, exposing adhesive Step 4 Hold graphic tautly by the corners and flip back down so that adhesive is against surface. Step
5 Step 6 Wait a few minutes, then remove clear transfer tape by pulling straight back, leaving the graphic on the surface. If graphic comes of with the masking tape, repeat step 5 and wait a up to 24 hours before removing the masking tape. Step
7 Once the decal touches the glass or paint, it cannot be moved again!
Step 1. 1Mix a gallon or so of water with a few drops of dishwashing liquid. Use a spray bottle and wet the area where decal is to be applied.
Step 3 Remove the backing and place the decal, still attached to the transfer tape, to the thoroughly wetted surface. The decal can now be moved and repositioned correctly, as it will slide on the thin film of solution trapped between the vinyl decal and the surface. If you are doing a windshield decal and need to curve the letters, cut the tape between the letters about 3/4 of the way from top to bottom with a knife and position the letters where needed. DO NOT cut all the way through as this will mess up the spacing between the letters.
Be sure to squeegee as much solution as possible from under the Decal.
Take your time, because if not enough solution is removed from under the
Decal, it will not adhere to the surface enough to allow the easy
removal of the transfer tape. Maintenance: Removing
